Get Your Stocking Stuffed

8 days away from Christmas. I am super-excited this year, despite the slim pickings under the tree. With Christmas comes the promise of a new year and a new beginning. And Cup tickets go on sale! haha We're working furiously here in Camden to get everything ready to send off ASAP after the New Year. Personally I think why wait? Make a cute little IOU Cup tickets stocking stuffer! Steal a horse graphic online, use colored ink- I mean really go all out! ;) Then go online, call, or send in your RSVP card to get your tickets and spaces! After 2 years of goodtimes (albiet wet and cold)- this yaer is sure to rock your face off!

Carolina Cup date announced!

Carolina Cup will be held Saturday, March 27th 2010!

Invitations will be mailed after the first of the year- make sure you're on the mailing list! As always this tailgating extravaganza is sold out every year. How is works is if you had a space last year, you will have a certain amount of time to renew- once that date passes, all non-renewed spaces will go up for sale! So make sure you renew by going online, www.carolina-cup.org, calling 803-432-6513, or sending back your invitation's response card- AFTER JAN. 1!

Didn't have a space last year? Get on the waiting list! email me at heather@carolina-cup.org or racehorse@carolina-cup.org

Don't miss out on one of the biggest lawnparties in Southern history! It IS everything you've heard and more!

51 workable days until Fall Cup

Seems a lot to do, a lot of spaces to fill, tickets to sell, stuff to give-away, fashion to find, and tailgating to organize. And that's just me haha. Fall Cup is by far my favorite race. The Spring brings the crowd, but the "on the fence" weather, the hassle, the drama, and usually- a missed ride home.

Fall Cup is so relaxed, it's beautiful out, it's laid back, there's music, friends, shops, stuff to watch. It's like a perfect little utopia where an 85 yr. old, a Sorority chick, and a preschooler can all have a great day at the same event! It's like a comet- rare. haha And it's coming. In 51 days. So get ready, get ordered, and get here!

Where does the time go?

It's almost Oct. and I've got to get my checklist out to make sure I'm getting things done... my first in order of business is the liquor license for the Fall Cup haha. We have to plan our "tailgate" too. I have the "parking chart" printed and hanging in front of me, marking off in red when I sell or renew a space. Watching it fill up. But neverously hoping more orders roll in. I take it as a personal challenge to bring in the "cool kids" or the College crowd. So get those orders in haha- my job depends on it. www.carolina-cup.org

Fall Cup tickets are selling....

Everyone is calling to ask if we are sold out! Haha Wouldn't that be a treat- the Fall race is different than the Spring in that it's smaller and more family friendly, but the tailgating still abounds, the socialiazing still exists, and the fashion still remains.

This year will be the year of the tweed pant, fendora, and sweater vest- I can just see it now. I almost want to start shopping for knee socks and tall boots! But it is soooo early you say! Not true, when Nov 21 will be here before you know it. Before we even realize it!

There's no USC football game, and so College Park is sure to be a treat, with Ten Toes Up rocking it out inbetween each race. I remember the days of Winter break- that month long stretch to just relax, avoid work, schmooz family----- what a great kickoff to that!

Fall Cup- get your spaces now, before spaces run out!!!!

It's hitting the fan....

So we have a new ticketing system, we have invites to go out BY FRIDAY, we haven't printed envelopes, I'm trying to get phone orders, but as of yet have had none, and we are FREAKING OUT! hahaha Oh, it's Cup season, at least for us. The race is on Saturday, November 21 this year, we're adding College Park, we're doing bigger and better family activities in the infield, and most importantly- what in the world will I wear?????

I do hope that our numbers increase, the weather is nice (it always is for the little known Fall Cup), and that all the who's who-izes are happy. We're all working so super hard for this thing to just be awesome- as awesome as the Spring. If not more- it's my favorite Cup afterall. I just dig cool sunny days rather than rainy summer ones if I'm going to be outside all day! ;)

So pass the word, pass the platter, get your tweed out, and come on down!!!!!
